Roy High Teen Center

The Roy High School Teen Center officially opened its doors on October 10, 2024, with a celebratory event attended by community members, district school leaders, and students.

The center, a collaborative effort between the Weber School District Foundation and the community, aims to provide a safe and supportive space for students in need. It offers resources, support, and a sense of belonging for students facing challenges or simply seeking a place to relax and connect with peers.

"The Roy Teen Center is a testament to our commitment to ensuring that every student has the support they need to thrive," said Gina Butters, District Superintendent.

The center features a variety of amenities, including a kitchen, bathrooms, quiet study spaces, and a laundry facility. All students are welcome to utilize the space and receive support from staff members.

"We want this to be a stigma-free space where students can come for help without any judgment," said Emily Oyler, Weber School District Foundation Director.

The center has received significant community support, with many individuals and organizations donating time, money, and resources to make it a reality.

"The generosity of our community has been overwhelming," said Jan Burrell, a Weber School District Board Member. "The impact of this center will be felt for years to come."

As the Roy High School Teen Center continues to serve students, it is poised to become a vital resource for the community.
