Every student who came to school on Friday, October 2, received a new book of their own for the statewide Read-a-Thon thanks to a grant fulfilled by the Weber School District Foundation. Titles ranged from classics (Wuthering Heights) to Manga (Dragon Slayer) to Romance (The Summer I Turned Pretty), to Mystery (One of Us is Lying). During the read-a-thon, students built blanket forts, ate snacks provided by the school and their teachers, and enjoyed friends and reading. It was a great way to end the week.
